Peter began his nearly 18-year career with Nelnet as a Regional Vice President (RVP) for FACTS, the K12 division. During his first month, he was asked to help build the recently formed Higher Ed division. He progressed from RVP Northeast to Senior Vice President, Major Accounts. In his current role as Managing Director & National Sales Manager, Peter leads a team of sales and service professionals across the country, all dedicated to serving the higher education community with comprehensive commerce solutions. Peter devoted his career to developing, expanding, and continuously improving Nelnet Campus Commerce.
Before joining Nelnet, Peter was a Director of Sales for Kaplan, Inc., a subsidiary of Graham Holdings Company, previously The Washington Post Company. At Kaplan, Peter managed the Northeast Region for a new venture, Kaplan Learning Services, which provided comprehensive curricular programs and services directly to K12 school districts, a bold expansion of the Kaplan brand. Peter was foundational in expanding the new division, which introduced a broader set of solutions to new markets. Kaplan and Peter grew exponentially.
Peter began his post-college career with e data resources, inc. (EDR) as an equity stakeholder and Regional Sales Manager. He executed a substantial Southeast expansion in Atlanta, Georgia, was a member of the strategic Due Diligence Acquisition Team, and worked collaboratively with the technical team to create and launch service-oriented GIS products. EDR became the nation's largest provider of environmental due diligence information for the commercial real estate industry. EDR was sold to DMG Information (DMGI), a subsidiary of the Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT).
During his undergraduate studies, Peter initiated and participated in an advanced-credit internship program at Shearson Lehman Brothers.
Peter received his bachelor's degree from Fairfield University and his master's degree from Georgetown University.
